Ingredients
1 cup fat-free milk
1/2 cup non-fat dry milk powder
2 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
10 large ice cubes
Directions
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before preparing the shake.
Peel the bananas and slice them into pieces. Add the milk, dry milk powder, banana slices, vanilla extract, and ice cubes to a blender.
Blend on high speed for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until the mixture is smooth and creamy with no ice chunks remaining.
Pour the shake into two glasses and serve immediately while cold.
Comments
This is a genuinely quick weeknight win: five minutes is honest, milk and bananas are always on hand at any Charlotte grocer, and it costs roughly $1.50 per serving. Dry milk powder is the only ingredient that might require a second look—Kroger and Harris Teeter stock it in the baking aisle, but families without it in their pantry may need one trip to a conventional supermarket rather than ALDI. The shake doesn't reheat, but that's the format, not a flaw; it feeds two adults or a family snack, requires no real technique, and the vanilla-banana flavor is inoffensive enough that most households will drink it without drama.
