Ingredients
1 cup Heavy cream, cold
3 tablespoons Baileys Irish Cream liqueur
½ cup Irish whiskey
4 tablespoons Brown sugar
4 cups Strong hot coffee
Directions
Pour the cold heavy cream into the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a whisk attachment. Add the Baileys Irish Cream liqueur to the cream. Whip on medium-high speed until the mixture becomes stiff and fluffy peaks form, about 3 to 4 minutes. Transfer the whipped cream to a separate bowl and set aside.
Brew strong hot coffee and divide evenly among 4 large mugs, allowing approximately 1 cup per mug. To each mug, add 2 tablespoons of Irish whiskey and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar. Stir well to dissolve the sugar completely.
Top each mug generously with the Baileys whipped cream, filling approximately one-third of the cup's height with the whipped cream layer. Serve immediately and enjoy by sipping the hot coffee through the cool, creamy topping.
Comments
This is a quick, luxe after-dinner drink that works for four adults and costs roughly $3 to $4 per serving depending on whiskey choice—the Baileys and cream are the big line items, both available at any Charlotte chain without a special trip. The stated ten minutes is honest; you're just brewing strong coffee, whipping cream, and pouring. The real constraint is that this is a same-night, finish-it-now drink that does not reheat or keep, so it's not a meal-planning workhorse, and the sugar content means it's an indulgence rather than something you'd serve on a weeknight with leftovers in mind.
