Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds frozen french fries
2 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix
4-6 breaded chicken strips
6 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1/2 cup hot sauce
1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
3 green onions, sliced
1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles
Directions
Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
In a large bowl, toss the frozen french fries with the ranch seasoning mix until evenly coated. Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Arrange the breaded chicken strips on a separate baking sheet.
Place both baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, stir the french fries and flip the chicken strips.
Continue baking for another 15 to 25 minutes until the fries are crispy and golden and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
While the fries and chicken bake, melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Whisk the flour into the melted butter to create a roux, stirring constantly for about 1 minute.
Gradually pour in the milk while whisking continuously to prevent lumps from forming.
Stir in the hot sauce until fully incorporated and the sauce is smooth and heated through. Remove from heat and set aside.
Transfer the cooked french fries to a large serving skillet or platter.
Scatter the chopped carrots, celery, and sliced green onions over the fries.
Cut the cooked chicken strips into smaller pieces if desired, and arrange them over the vegetable-topped fries.
Pour the warm buffalo sauce over the entire dish.
Top with blue cheese crumbles and serve immediately while hot.
