Ingredients

1 head bok choy (about 1 pound)

5 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons vegetable oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Rinse the bok choy thoroughly under cold water and pat dry.

  2. Cut the bok choy crosswise into bite-sized pieces, keeping the tender leaves and firm stems separated into different piles for easier cooking.

  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. Add the minced garlic to the hot oil and cook for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, stirring constantly, until the garlic becomes fragrant and lightly golden.

  5. Add the bok choy pieces to the skillet and stir quickly to coat everything with the garlic-infused oil.

  6. Sprinkle the salt over the bok choy and continue stirring.

  7. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring frequently, until the leafy green portions are wilted and the stem pieces are tender but still have a slight crisp bite to them.

  8. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.
