Ingredients
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
3 cups milk chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
2 cups roughly crushed pretzel rods
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Directions
In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, powdered sugar, crushed pretzel rods, and 1 cup of the peanut butter. Mix until all ingredients are evenly combined.
Press the pretzel mixture firmly and evenly into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish, creating an even layer on the bottom.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the remaining 1/2 cup peanut butter and the chocolate chips. Heat in the microwave for 30 seconds, then stir thoroughly.
Return the mixture to the microwave and heat for another 30 seconds. Stir well until completely smooth, continuing to stir for up to 1 minute if necessary until all chocolate is melted and the mixture is glossy.
If the chocolate mixture is still not fully smooth, heat for an additional 30 seconds in the microwave, then stir again until completely combined.
Spread the melted chocolate mixture evenly over the pretzel-peanut butter base, covering it completely.
Place the baking dish in the refrigerator and allow the candy to set for 1 hour.
Remove the dish from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes before cutting.
Using a sharp knife, cut the candy into 1-inch squares. Store in the refrigerator until serving.
