Ingredients
1 large bunch fresh broccoli, cut into 2-inch florets
1 pound beef tenderloin steaks, cut into thin bite-sized strips
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon olive oil
¾ cup chicken broth
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
½ teaspoon Asian sesame oil
Directions
In a small bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Set the sauce mixture aside.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once shimmering, add the beef strips and cook until the external surface is browned, about 2 to 3 minutes total, stirring occasionally. Transfer the beef to a clean plate.
Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and crushed red pepper to the same skillet. Stir constantly for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir to coat with the oil and aromatics. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the broccoli begins to turn bright green and becomes tender-crisp.
Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet and return the cooked beef to the pan. Stir everything together and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.
Divide between 6 servings and serve immediately while hot.
