Ingredients

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (about 1 1/4 lbs total)

4 teaspoons Italian seasoned dry breadcrumbs

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and grated Parmesan cheese until well combined.

  3. Place the chicken breast halves on a lightly greased baking sheet, spacing them evenly apart.

  4. Spread the mayonnaise and Parmesan mixture evenly over the top of each chicken breast.

  5. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoned breadcrumbs over the top of each coated chicken breast.

  6. Bake for about 20 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through to a safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the topping is golden brown. The coating should be crispy and the juices should run clear when pierced with a knife.

All four ingredients are staples at every Charlotte grocer—mayonnaise, parmesan, chicken breast, and breadcrumbs carry no special-trip penalty. The cost per serving runs roughly $2.50–$3.00 depending on whether you buy bone-in or premium chicken, which is reasonable for a protein-forward weeknight dish. The 30-minute claim is honest for stovetop cooking (10 minutes prep, 15–20 minutes baking or pan-frying), though oven-bound recipes need time to preheat. The dish holds up well as leftovers and reheats cleanly in a 350-degree oven, making it practical for planned lunch carryover.
