Ingredients
5 cups Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
2 tablespoons Olive oil
¼ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Ground black pepper
½ cup Fresh orange juice
1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Honey
1 teaspoon Chili paste
2 teaspoons Lemon zest, grated (optional)
Directions
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before beginning.
Preheat your oven to 450°F, placing a large rimmed baking sheet on the middle rack to heat while preheating.
In a large bowl, combine the trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and ground black pepper. Toss until all pieces are evenly coated.
Carefully remove the hot baking sheet from the oven and arrange the Brussels sprouts on it in a single layer with the cut side facing down.
Return the baking sheet to the oven and roast for approximately 20 minutes, flipping the Brussels sprouts halfway through, until the cut sides are golden brown and caramelized.
While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, pour the orange juice into a small saucepan and place it over medium-high heat. Add the apple cider vinegar, honey, and chili paste, stirring to combine.
Bring the mixture to a boil and allow it to simmer for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the liquid reduces to a syrupy glaze.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the glaze to cool for a few minutes.
Transfer the roasted Brussels sprouts to a large bowl and pour the warm glaze over them.
Toss the Brussels sprouts gently until they are evenly coated with the glaze.
Transfer to a serving plate and top with grated lemon zest if desired before serving.
