Ingredients

¼ pound Whole wheat pasta

1 cup Shredded asiago aged cheese

2 tablespoon Butter

1½ cup Whole milk

1 cup Water

1 tablespoon Fresh parsley, chopped

3 tablespoon Garlic salt

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Add the whole wheat pasta to a large pot or deep skillet and arrange the butter on top of the noodles.

  2. Pour the milk and water over the pasta and butter. Sprinkle the garlic salt over the mixture.

  3. Place the pot over high heat and bring to a boil, stirring frequently to prevent the pasta from sticking.

  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and continue to stir the pasta regularly, breaking it apart as it softens.

  5. Cook for approximately 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed, leaving a creamy sauce.

  6. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded asiago cheese until fully melted and combined.

  7. Mix in the fresh chopped parsley and season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

  8. Divide between two bowls and serve immediately. Optional: top with additional shredded asiago cheese if desired.
