Ingredients
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/8 teaspoon celery salt
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
2 pounds tilapia fillets
Directions
Preheat the broiler. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, celery salt, dried basil, black pepper, fresh lemon juice, mayonnaise, and onion powder. Mix until smooth and well blended. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully incorporated.
Arrange the tilapia fillets in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Place the sheet 4 to 6 inches from the heat source and broil for 2 to 3 minutes.
Carefully flip each fillet over and return to the broiler for another 2 minutes.
Remove the baking sheet from the broiler. Spoon the Parmesan mixture evenly over the top side of each fillet, spreading it gently to create a light coating.
Return to the broiler and cook for 2 additional minutes, or until the Parmesan topping is golden brown and the fish flakes easily with a fork when tested at its thickest part. The fish should reach an internal temperature of 145°F. Watch carefully to avoid overcooking.
Remove from the broiler and serve immediately while the topping is still crispy.
