Ingredients

2 cups nonfat powdered milk

¾ cup cornstarch

12 teaspoons low-sodium chicken bouillon

2 tablespoons dried onion flakes

2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

Directions

  1. Combine the nonfat powdered milk, cornstarch, low-sodium chicken bouillon, dried onion flakes, and Italian seasoning in a clean bowl. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly distributed with no clumps.

  2. Transfer the mixture to an airtight container or sealed plastic bag. Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature without refrigeration.

  3. To use as a cream soup substitute: Mix 1/3 cup of the dry mix with 1 cup of water or broth, stirring well to dissolve. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until thickened and steaming (approximately 5-7 minutes). This yields the equivalent of one 10.5 oz can of condensed cream soup.
