Ingredients

1 tablespoon peanut butter

1 large graham cracker (or whole grain or saltine cracker)

1 tablespoon shredded cheddar cheese

3 raisins

2 large green peas

1/2 grape, halved

Directions

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before beginning.

  2. Place the graham cracker on a clean plate or cutting board. Spread the peanut butter evenly across the cracker in a face shape, covering most of the surface.

  3. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top portion of the peanut butter-covered cracker to form hair.

  4. Arrange the 3 raisins in a curved smile pattern in the lower half of the face for the mouth.

  5. Place the 2 green peas on the upper portion of the face for eyes.

  6. Position the grape half in the center of the face between the eyes for the nose. Serve immediately and enjoy!

This playful single-serving snack hits all the North Carolina staples—peanut butter is a regional crop, and every listed ingredient is stocked at Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Publix, Walmart, ALDI, and Kroger without a second stop. Cost per serving runs under $1.50, kept down by the peanut butter base and pantry items. The 10-minute time is honest for assembly only, not prep or cooking; it's genuinely a no-heat snack that works for a child's lunch box or quick activity with a toddler. The caveat is that this is a one-off novelty rather than a dish that builds leftovers or satisfies a full meal, so budget it as an afternoon project or side-by-side activity, not a family dinner anchor.
