Ingredients

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1 pound frozen peeled and deveined medium shrimp, thawed

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 tablespoon fresh chopped herbs (parsley, thyme, and/or oregano)

Directions

  1. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted and foaming.

  2. Add the thawed shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for approximately 3 minutes until the underside begins to turn pink.

  3. Turn the shrimp over and cook for another 2 minutes until the shrimp are fully pink and opaque throughout.

  4. Pour in the lemon juice, increase the heat to medium-high, and allow the liquid to bubble for 30 seconds while gently stirring.

  5. Remove from heat and season with black pepper to taste.

  6. Divide the shrimp and pan juices equally among 4 serving plates and garnish each portion generously with the fresh chopped herbs.
