Ingredients
1 cup diced apple
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 cup diced celery
1/2 cup grated carrots
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
Directions
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before beginning food preparation.
Rinse the apples, celery, and carrots under cool running water to remove any dirt or debris. Pat dry with a clean towel.
Cut the apples into small, even-sized cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl. Immediately drizzle with lemon juice and toss gently to coat, which will prevent the apples from browning.
Add the diced celery, grated carrots, and raisins to the bowl with the apples. Gently mix together until well combined.
Pour the low-fat vanilla yogurt over the fruit and vegetable mixture. Using a gentle folding motion, combine everything until the yogurt is evenly distributed throughout and all ingredients are well coated.
Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap or a lid to prevent the salad from drying out or absorbing any odors from the refrigerator.
Refrigerate the salad for at least 1 hour before serving. This chilling time allows the flavors to meld and the salad to reach an ideal cold temperature for eating.
Store any leftover salad in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
