Ingredients
1 sesame bagel, cut in half crosswise and then lengthwise to create 4 C-shaped pieces
12 tablespoons whipped cream cheese
2 ounces salmon roe
8 tablespoons shredded nori
Directions
Preheat your oven or toaster oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the sesame bagel in half horizontally through the middle, then cut each half vertically lengthwise to create four C-shaped pieces with the characteristic bagel curve.
Arrange the four bagel pieces on a toaster oven tray, cut-side up. Toast them for 3 to 5 minutes until they are lightly golden and crispy on the cut surface, being careful not to burn them.
Remove the toasted bagel pieces from the oven and let them cool for 1 minute. While they are still warm, spread 3 tablespoons of whipped cream cheese evenly over the cut side of each piece.
Distribute the salmon roe evenly over the cream cheese-topped bagel pieces, using about ½ ounce per piece for a generous but balanced topping.
Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of shredded nori over each bagel piece, creating a flavorful umami layer that complements the richness of the cream cheese and the briny notes of the salmon roe.
Serve immediately while the bagel is still warm and the toppings are at their best.
