Ingredients
1 ripe avocado, pitted and peeled
1 ripe banana, peeled and chopped
½ cup plain Greek yogurt
Directions
Add the peeled avocado, chopped banana, and Greek yogurt to a food processor.
Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, about 1–2 minutes. Scrape down the sides if needed to ensure all ingredients are fully combined.
Evenly distribute the mixture into popsicle molds, filling each cavity to the top.
Insert popsicle sticks into the center of each mold, or use molds with built-in sticks.
Place the filled molds in the freezer and freeze for at least 6 hours, or until completely solid.
Remove from the freezer. Run warm water briefly over the outside of the molds to help release the popsicles, then gently pull out and serve immediately.
Comments
This is a genuinely simple and cheap frozen treat that hits every mark for a Charlotte family. All three ingredients—ripe bananas, avocado, and plain Greek yogurt—are stocked year-round at every major chain here, and the total ingredient cost lands under $4 for four popsicles, roughly a dollar per serving. The stated 45 minutes is honest once you account for freezing time; actual hands-on prep is five minutes. It reheats acceptably as a smoothie if anyone forgets to eat theirs, and there's no fussy timing or constant attention required—freeze and forget.
