Ingredients

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 pound steak (flank, strip loin, or rib eye), cut into bite-sized pieces

2 teaspoons cajun seasoning

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons butter

Directions

  1. Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces, roughly 1 to 1.5 inches each. Season generously with the cajun seasoning and toss to coat evenly.

  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 1 minute.

  3. Add the steak pieces to the hot skillet in a single layer and sear without stirring for 2-3 minutes until a golden brown crust forms on the bottom.

  4. Flip the steak pieces and cook on the other side for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F for medium-rare (adjust cooking time for your preferred doneness).

  5. Reduce heat to medium and push the steak pieces to the side of the skillet. Add the minced garlic to the center and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  6. Add the butter and stir continuously for 1-2 minutes, coating all the steak pieces with the garlic butter sauce.

  7. Remove from heat and serve immediately while hot, spooning any pan sauce over the steak bites.
