Ingredients

3 apples

3 cans crescent roll dough

1 cup butter

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

12 oz can lemon-lime soda

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

  2. Core, peel, and slice the apples into thin pieces, about 1/8 inch thick.

  3. Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles. Take each apple slice and wrap it tightly in a crescent roll triangle, starting from the narrow end and rolling toward the wide end to fully encase the apple. Press the edges to seal.

  4. Arrange the wrapped apple dumplings seam-side up in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

  5. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the sugar and cinnamon until combined. Pour this mixture evenly over all the dumplings.

  6. Pour the entire can of lemon-lime soda over the dumplings, distributing it as evenly as possible.

  7. Bake uncovered for 40 to 45 minutes, until the crescent rolls are golden brown and cooked through.

  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
