Ingredients
5 cups Chex cereal
12 oz vanilla almond bark or white melting chocolate
1 cup white cake mix
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 cup red and blue M&Ms
1 cup coated pretzel pieces
2 tablespoons festive sprinkles
Directions
Place the vanilla almond bark or white melting chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until completely melted and smooth. Do not overheat.
Pour the melted white chocolate over the Chex cereal in a large bowl and stir thoroughly until every piece of cereal is evenly coated with chocolate.
Transfer the chocolate-coated cereal to a large sealable plastic bag. Add the white cake mix and powdered sugar to the bag, seal it tightly, and shake vigorously until the entire mixture is evenly coated and no dry patches remain.
Spread the coated cereal mixture in a single, even layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Scatter the red and blue M&Ms, pretzel pieces, and festive sprinkles evenly over the top of the cereal mixture. Allow the muddy buddies to set and dry at room temperature for approximately 1 hour before serving.
