Ingredients

1 medium apple, washed

2 tablespoons peanut butter

1 tablespoon raisins

Directions

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before beginning.

  2. Rinse the apple under cool running water and pat dry with a clean towel.

  3. Place the apple on a cutting board with the stem facing up. Carefully cut the apple in half lengthwise from the stem down, then lay each half cut-side down on the board.

  4. Slice each half horizontally into 6 thin half-round slices. Using a small knife or apple corer, remove the core from each slice.

  5. Spread approximately 1/2 teaspoon of peanut butter evenly on one side of each apple slice.

  6. Distribute the raisins evenly among half of your apple slices, placing 4 to 6 raisins on top of the peanut butter on each slice.

  7. Press a peanut-butter-coated apple slice (without raisins) on top of each raisin-topped slice, with the peanut butter sides facing each other, creating a sandwich.

  8. Gently squeeze each sandwich to help the peanut butter adhere and hold the raisins in place. Serve immediately.
