Ingredients

2 large potatoes (about 350g)

Salt for cooking potatoes

200g smoked sausages (such as Kransky), cut into bite-size pieces

2-3 rashers bacon, cut into small pieces

1-2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

1-2 teaspoons sunflower oil

Salt and black pepper to taste

1-2 teaspoons whole grain mustard

to taste Finely chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Directions

  1. Rinse the potatoes thoroughly under cold water and scrub them clean. Cut them into chunky, bite-sized pieces, keeping the skin on for a rustic texture. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the potato pieces. Cook until they are tender when pierced with a fork, approximately 15-20 minutes. Drain well in a colander.

  2. While the potatoes cook, heat the sunflower oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon pieces and cook, stirring occasionally, until the bacon is crispy and golden, about 5-7 minutes. Add the smoked sausage pieces to the pan and continue cooking until they are browned on all sides, approximately 5 minutes.

  3. Add the chopped garlic to the sausage and bacon mixture and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant. Carefully add the drained potato pieces to the skillet and gently toss everything together to combine evenly.

  4. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper to your taste. Stir in the whole grain mustard, distributing it throughout the potatoes and meat, and mix well until all ingredients are coated. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish.

  5. Generously sprinkle the finely chopped fresh parsley over the top of the dish as garnish. Serve hot and enjoy with cold beverages of your choice.
