Fresh lemon balm sprigs for garnish (optional)
Directions
Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a kettle or pot over high heat.
While the water heats, gently rinse the fresh lavender and lemon balm sprigs under cool running water to remove any dust or debris. Pat dry with a clean kitchen towel.
Place the 6 lavender sprigs and 6 lemon balm sprigs into a teapot or heat-safe infusion vessel.
Slowly pour the boiling water over the herbs, ensuring all sprigs are fully submerged.
Cover the teapot or infusion vessel with a lid and allow the tisane to steep for 8 to 10 minutes, allowing the delicate flavors to fully develop.
Strain the brewed tisane through a fine-mesh strainer into two serving cups, discarding the spent herb sprigs.
If desired, garnish each cup with a fresh sprig of lavender or lemon balm. Serve warm and enjoy immediately.
