Ingredients
1 whole Baguette, very thinly sliced on the bias
2 tablespoons Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Using a sharp serrated knife, cut the baguette on a 45-degree angle into very thin slices, approximately 1/4 inch thick. Arrange the slices in a single layer on two baking sheets.
Lightly drizzle the olive oil over both sides of each baguette slice, using a pastry brush to distribute evenly if desired.
Season each slice with a light pinch of kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, stirring the baking sheets and flipping the slices halfway through, until the slices are golden brown and crispy throughout. Do not allow them to burn.
Remove from the oven and cool completely on the baking sheets before serving. The toasts will continue to crisp as they cool.
