Ingredients
2 cans canned corned beef
1 onion, finely diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
to taste salt
to taste ground black pepper
2 tablespoons cooking oil
to taste chili powder or cayenne pepper
Directions
Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the diced onion and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until it begins to soften and turn translucent.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
Open both cans of corned beef and break the meat into bite-sized chunks directly into the skillet. Stir well to combine with the onions and garlic.
Cook the mixture for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the corned beef is heated through and the onions are fully softened. The edges of the meat may begin to lightly brown.
Season the hash with salt, ground black pepper, and chili powder or cayenne pepper to taste. Stir well to distribute the seasonings evenly.
Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve hot immediately while the hash is still steaming.
