Ingredients
2 apples (any variety), cored and sliced into wedges
15 caramel squares, unwrapped
1/4 cup hazelnut creamer
2 tablespoons chocolate hazelnut spread
Chopped hazelnuts for garnish
Mini chocolate chips for garnish
Directions
Combine the unwrapped caramel squares and hazelnut creamer in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each interval, until the caramel is completely melted and smooth—approximately 2 minutes total, depending on your microwave's power.
Allow the caramel mixture to cool at room temperature for at least 15 minutes, until it reaches a pourable consistency but is not too thin.
While the caramel cools, core and slice the apples into wedges, then arrange them on a serving plate.
Transfer the cooled caramel to a piping bag (or sandwich bag with the tip cut off) and pipe the caramel sauce evenly over the apple wedges.
Place the chocolate hazelnut spread in a small bowl and heat in the microwave for about 20 seconds, until it reaches a drizzling consistency without becoming too thick.
Transfer the warmed chocolate hazelnut spread to a piping bag (or sandwich bag with the tip cut off) and drizzle it over the caramel-topped apples.
Finish by sprinkling the chopped hazelnuts and mini chocolate chips over the top, and serve immediately.
