Ingredients
3 lemons
1 lime, optional
4–5 cups water
2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
Directions
Wash the lemons and lime. Cut each lemon into wedges (quarters or eighths depending on size) and cut the lime into wedges as well if using.
Place the lemon and lime wedges into a blender. Add the water and blend on high speed for about 1 minute, until the citrus is completely broken down and the water takes on a pale yellow lemonade color.
Allow the blended mixture to sit undisturbed for a few minutes so the broken-down lemon solids and seeds rise to the top.
Pour the mixture through a fine metal strainer set over a large pitcher to separate the clear lemonade from the pulp and seeds. You may need to do this in batches, emptying the pulp from the strainer as needed. Set aside the strained pulp for other uses such as baking, jam, or cleaning.
Pour the sweetened condensed milk into the pitcher of strained lemonade. Stir well to combine thoroughly.
Serve immediately, or note that the mixture may separate slightly after 15 minutes or so. If separation occurs, simply stir with a spoon before serving.
