Ingredients
3 tablespoons Dried lavender
1 cup Cane sugar
4 cups Hot, freshly brewed coffee
Ice cubes
2 cups Whole milk
4 sprigs Dried organic lavender sprigs for garnish
Directions
Pulse the dried lavender in a food processor or spice grinder for about 2 seconds, just enough to slightly break down the petals and release their aromatic oils without creating a fine powder.
Combine the gently ground lavender with the cane sugar in a small bowl, stirring well to distribute the lavender pieces evenly throughout. For the best flavor, let this mixture infuse at room temperature in an airtight container for about 1 week before use. It will keep well for approximately 6 months.
Stir the lavender sugar into the hot, freshly brewed coffee until fully dissolved. Transfer the mixture to the refrigerator and allow it to chill completely, about 6 hours or overnight, for the flavors to fully meld and the liquid to cool.
Fill 4 glasses with ice cubes. Pour 1 cup of the chilled coffee mixture into each glass, then add ½ cup of whole milk to each. Stir gently to combine the coffee and milk, then garnish the rim or top of each glass with a dried lavender sprig before serving.
