Ingredients

3 cups Fresh broccoli, cleaned and cut into small florets

½ pound Bacon slices, cut into small pieces

1 cup Red and/or green grapes, halved

¼ cup Red onion, finely chopped

½ cup Mayonnaise or salad dressing

2 tablespoon Sugar

½ cup Sunflower seeds

Directions

  1. Cook the bacon pieces in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8–10 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain completely; set aside.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli florets, halved grapes, chopped red onion, and sunflower seeds. Toss gently to mix.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and sugar until the mixture is smooth and uniform.

  4. Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss well until all vegetables and seeds are evenly coated.

  5. Fold in most of the cooked bacon, reserving some pieces for garnish on top.

  6. Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 24 hours, allowing the flavors to blend and the texture to soften slightly.

  7. Just before serving, top the salad with the reserved bacon pieces and additional sunflower seeds for garnish.
