Ingredients

½ bunch broccoli, cut into florets

½ cucumber, cut into chunks

1 inch piece fresh ginger root, peeled

1 lemon, peeled

1 lime, peeled

1 pear, cut into pieces

Handful fresh spinach

1 tangelo, peeled

Ice for serving

Directions

  1. Rinse all fresh produce under cool running water and gently scrub the broccoli, cucumber, and pear to remove any dirt. Pat dry with a clean towel.

  2. Cut the broccoli into florets that will fit through your juicer chute. Cut the cucumber into lengthwise spears or chunks. Cut the pear into quarters and remove the core. Peel the ginger root with a vegetable peeler or knife.

  3. Peel the lemon, lime, and tangelo, removing as much white pith as possible. Separate the citrus into segments or large pieces.

  4. Feed the spinach, broccoli, cucumber, ginger, lemon, lime, pear, and tangelo through your juicer according to the manufacturer's instructions, alternating between leafy greens and harder produce for optimal extraction.

  5. Pour the fresh juice into tall glasses filled with ice and serve immediately while the juice is cold and at peak freshness.
