Ingredients

4 pounds chicken wings

2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar

2 teaspoons olive oil

2 tablespoons hot pepper sauce

Salt to taste

Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove any surface moisture, which helps them crisp up during baking.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and hot pepper sauce until well combined.

  3. Place the dried chicken wings on a large baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Season them generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper, tossing to coat evenly.

  4. Pour the balsamic and pepper sauce mixture over the seasoned wings, tossing until each wing is well coated with the sauce.

  5. Spread the wings in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the wings are cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F at the thickest part of the wing.

  6. Remove from the oven and let rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving. The wings will continue to crisp as they cool slightly.
