Ingredients

2 bananas, peeled and chopped

1 cup skim milk

1 1/2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

1/2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt

1 1/2 cups ice

Directions

  1. Peel the bananas and cut them into bite-sized pieces. Spread the pieces on a plate and freeze for at least 2 hours until solid, or place in a freezer bag and freeze overnight.

  2. Add the frozen banana pieces, skim milk, peanut butter, cocoa powder, vanilla yogurt, and ice to a high-powered blender.

  3. Secure the blender lid and blend on high speed for 1 to 2 minutes, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed, until the mixture reaches a smooth, creamy consistency.

  4. Divide the smoothie evenly between two tall glasses.

  5. Serve immediately with a straw, and enjoy while cold.
