Ingredients

1 block cream cheese (light or regular)

3 oz Velveeta cheese

3 cups prepared chili

1 can (15 oz) black beans, undrained

Chili powder to taste

Ground cumin to taste

Cayenne pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro for garnish

Tortilla chips for serving

Directions

  1. Cut the cream cheese into small cubes and place in a microwave-safe bowl. Add the Velveeta cheese and prepared chili. Microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring halfway through, until both cheeses are completely melted and the mixture is smooth and well combined.

  2. Stir in the undrained black beans with their liquid. Add chili powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper to taste, adjusting the seasonings to your preference. Stir until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the dip.

  3. Transfer the warm dip to a mini crockpot set on low heat, or keep it in the microwave-safe bowl and reheat as needed to maintain warmth during serving.

  4. Garnish the dip with fresh cilantro and serve immediately with tortilla chips for dipping. Stir occasionally if keeping warm in the crockpot.
