This is a fast drink that delivers on the five-minute promise—no muddling, no complex technique. Pomegranate juice, lime, and rum are easy finds at any Charlotte grocery store, and agave nectar is now standard at Harris Teeter and Food Lion, which keeps you from an extra trip. The real cost driver is kirsch, a cherry liqueur that runs eight to twelve dollars a bottle and shows up only sporadically at Kroger banners; if you don't have it on hand, you're making a second stop. The drink itself is bright and balanced, and it scales easily for a crowd, but kirsch is an ingredient that only works once it's in your house.
