Ingredients
2 cups frozen peaches
2 handfuls fresh spinach
1 fresh peach, pitted and chopped (optional)
1 tablespoon peeled, minced fresh ginger
1 tablespoon honey
1 cup water
Directions
Place the frozen peaches, fresh spinach, fresh chopped peach (if using), minced ginger, and water into a blender. Blend on high speed until the mixture becomes completely smooth and uniform in color, with no visible chunks remaining. This typically takes 1–2 minutes.
If the mixture is too thick and the blender is struggling to process it, add up to ¼ cup additional water a little at a time, blending between additions, until the smoothie reaches your desired consistency.
Add the honey to the blender and blend for another 30 seconds until fully incorporated. Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey if desired, or adjust the ginger intensity by adding more minced ginger, or thin with additional water as needed.
Pour the smoothie into serving glasses and enjoy immediately while cold and fresh.
Comments
All ingredients are stocked year-round at every major Charlotte chain—frozen peaches and fresh spinach are basics, ginger and honey are staple condiments. Cost per serving runs about $1.50 to $2, driven by the dual peach components and honey, which is reasonable for a breakfast drink. The stated 10 minutes is honest; blending takes 2-3 minutes and prep is just rinsing spinach and measuring. This reheats poorly as a smoothie (separation and texture loss), so it's a same-day, drink-it-fresh proposition, which is fine for the category, though summer peach season in North Carolina makes this more relevant July through September than in winter.
