Ingredients
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
Pour the crushed tomatoes and water into a medium saucepan.
Add the red wine vinegar, garlic powder, dried basil, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.
Whisk all ingredients together until well combined.
Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium-low, cover with a lid, and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sauce will reduce slightly and the flavors will meld together.
Remove from heat and use immediately on your pizza dough, or let cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
