Ingredients
12 oz frozen chicken tenders
½ head medium head romaine lettuce
4 tortillas flour tortillas, 8 to 10 inches
4 tbsp Caesar salad dressing
4 tbsp shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
Directions
Prepare the chicken tenders according to package directions (typically by baking or frying until golden brown and heated through to an internal temperature of 165°F). If frying, use a thermometer to verify doneness. Drain on paper towels if fried.
While the chicken cooks, rinse the romaine lettuce and pat dry with paper towels. Chop or tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces, removing the tough center rib if desired.
Warm the flour tortillas by wrapping them in a damp paper towel and microwaving for 30 seconds, or heating them one at a time in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 15 seconds per side until pliable.
Lay one tortilla flat on a clean work surface. Spread 1 tablespoon of Caesar dressing across the center of the tortilla.
Layer one quarter of the chopped romaine lettuce on top of the dressing, then top with about 3 ounces of the cooked chicken tenders (roughly 3 tenders).
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken filling.
Fold the bottom edge of the tortilla up over the filling, then fold in both sides, and roll tightly away from you until the wrap is sealed. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling to make 4 wraps total.
Cut each wrap in half diagonally if desired and serve immediately while warm.
Comments
Every ingredient is a staple at Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Walmart, or ALDI, so no special trips needed. The 25-minute claim assumes your chicken is already cooked; if you're starting from raw, add 20 minutes for frying and resting. Cost runs roughly $2.50 to $3.00 per serving, driven by the chicken and cheese, making it reasonable for a weeknight family meal. The wraps are straightforward to assemble, require no fussing, and reheat adequately if you store the dressing separately, though they're best eaten fresh.
