Ingredients
1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
3 tablespoons Sugar
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 Egg white
2 cups Salted mixed nuts
Directions
Preheat your oven to 250°F. Lightly coat a rimmed baking sheet with vegetable oil and set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar, Cajun seasoning, and egg white until well combined and slightly foamy in texture.
Add the mixed nuts to the bowl and toss until all nuts are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
Spread the coated nuts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 45 minutes, stirring the nuts every 15 minutes to ensure even toasting and prevent burning. The nuts will become fragrant and slightly darker in color, with a slightly moist appearance.
Remove the nuts from the oven and allow them to cool completely on the baking sheet. As they cool, they will develop their final crispy texture.
Once fully cooled, transfer the nuts to an airtight container. They will keep fresh for up to 5 days.
