Ingredients

8 ounces fresh egg noodles or pasta

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

12 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced

2 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 stalk green onion, chopped

1 tablespoon miso paste

2 teaspoons Maggi Sauce

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain well in a colander and set aside.

  2. Heat a large wok or sauté pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the butter, minced garlic, and chopped green onion. Stir constantly for about 1 minute until the mixture becomes fragrant and aromatic, being careful not to let the garlic brown or burn.

  3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften and release their moisture.

  4. Stir in the miso paste and Maggi Sauce, mixing well to dissolve the miso and create a smooth, savory sauce.

  5. Add the drained cooked noodles to the pan and toss everything together over the heat for 1 to 2 minutes until the noodles are evenly coated with the miso butter sauce and heated through.

  6. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot as an appetizer or side dish.
