Ingredients

2 Tbsp. gochujang (Korean hot pepper paste)

1 1/2 cups napa cabbage kimchi (12-oz. jar; undrained), chopped

Directions

  1. Chop the napa cabbage kimchi, including its brine, into small bite-sized pieces.

  2. Place the chopped kimchi with its liquid and the gochujang into a small bowl.

  3. Stir vigorously until the ingredients are well combined and the mixture reaches a spreadable consistency. Adjust proportions if needed—add more gochujang for extra heat or more kimchi for a milder blend.

  4. Transfer to a serving bowl or airtight container. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

  5. The spread keeps refrigerated for up to 1 week. Stir before serving if any liquid has separated.
