Ingredients
1–2 tablespoons elderflower cordial
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
3 ice cubes
1 sprig fresh mint
150 ml Prosecco (about 5 oz)
Directions
Pour the elderflower cordial into a wine glass. Add the fresh lemon juice and stir gently to combine.
Add the three ice cubes to the glass.
Top with Prosecco, pouring slowly to preserve the bubbles and create a pleasant mixture.
Gently place the mint sprig into the cocktail as a garnish and fresh flavor accent.
Serve immediately and enjoy while cold and effervescent.
Comments
Elderflower cordial is the sticking point—you'll need to make a second stop at Harris Teeter (or order it online), as Food Lion and Walmart stock it inconsistently if at all. Cost per serving runs $4–$5 for the prosecco, cordial, and lemon juice alone, making it an occasional-treat cocktail rather than a weeknight staple. The 3-minute stated time is honest and includes no hidden prep, and leftovers are not an issue since cocktails are best served immediately. This works well for a single drink or entertaining, but Charlotte's heat means the ice will melt quickly in a humid kitchen—prepare to serve right away.
