Ingredients
4 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
2 1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon apple pie spice
1 prepared pie crust
Directions
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before beginning food preparation.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, cranberries, sugar, flour, and apple pie spice. Stir well until all ingredients are evenly coated and distributed.
Pour the fruit mixture into a 10-inch deep dish pie pan, spreading evenly across the bottom.
Lay the prepared pie crust over the top of the fruit filling. Using a sharp knife, cut 3 or 4 small slits in the crust to allow steam to vent during baking.
Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for approximately 1 hour, until the crust is golden brown and the fruit filling is bubbling at the edges.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving, then slice and serve warm.
Store any leftover pie in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 3 days.
