Ingredients
1 pizza dough
2 tablespoons garlic olive oil
1 to 1.5 cups aged white cheddar cheese, shredded
6 ounces chorizo, sliced thin
2 tablespoons honey
Directions
Preheat your grill to high heat.
Brush both sides of the pizza dough generously with the garlic olive oil.
Place the oiled dough directly on the grill grates and cook until the bottom begins to develop light golden color and grill marks appear, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Quickly distribute the shredded white cheddar cheese and sliced chorizo evenly across the top of the dough.
Continue grilling until the cheese melts completely and the bottom of the pizza is golden and crispy, about 1 to 2 minutes more.
Carefully remove the pizza from the grill and transfer to a serving plate.
Drizzle the warm pizza with honey and serve immediately.
Comments
The five-minute time is impossible as written—you need at least 12–15 minutes to bake the pizza, plus prep and toppings, landing closer to 20 minutes real time. Chorizo, white cheddar, and olive oil are readily available at any Charlotte chain, but the recipe assumes you already have pizza dough on hand (store-bought or homemade); factor in an extra $2–4 if you don't. At $6–8 per serving for two, it's a quick dinner but not budget-friendly, and the small yield means it doesn't stretch for a family or produce useful leftovers. Worth making on a weeknight if you stock dough and chorizo, but budget accordingly for the actual cooking time and cost per mouth.
