Swedish Egg Coffee
Recipe GLPRfb6a114eee9730
A traditional Nordic beverage where beaten egg is combined with ground coffee to create a smooth, rich drink. The egg acts as a binder, clarifying the coffee and producing a remarkably clean, velvety cup with a unique texture and mellow flavor.

Ingredients
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 1/2 cups ground coffee
6 cups water
Directions
In a saucepan, bring the 6 cups of water to a boil over high heat.
While the water heats, place the beaten egg in a bowl and stir in the ground coffee until fully combined into a paste-like mixture.
Once the water reaches a rolling boil, carefully pour the egg-coffee mixture into the boiling water, stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
Remove from heat and let the mixture settle for 2-3 minutes, allowing the grounds and egg solids to sink to the bottom and clarify the liquid.
Slowly pour the clear brewed coffee into cups, being careful to leave the sediment at the bottom of the pot. Serve immediately.
