Ingredients

8 large chicken thighs, trimmed

2 tablespoons hot sauce

2 teaspoons yellow mustard

2 teaspoons dried thyme

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken thighs, hot sauce, mustard, thyme, and minced garlic. Toss everything together until the chicken is evenly coated with the marinade.

  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 24 hours, allowing the flavors to penetrate the meat.

  3. Preheat your oven to 450°F.

  4. Remove the chicken from the refrigerator and arrange the marinated thighs on a baking sheet in a single layer, skin-side up. Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly over all pieces.

  5. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 50 minutes. The chicken is done when the skin is golden brown and crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 165°F when measured with a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh without touching bone.

  6. Remove from the oven and serve immediately while the skin is still crispy.
