Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef
12 oz egg noodles
2 cans (10.75 oz each) condensed tomato soup
2 cans (8 oz each) tomato sauce
1 packet chili seasoning mix
1 tbsp chili powder
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Garlic powder to taste
Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain the noodles in a colander and rinse with cold water to prevent sticking. Set aside.
While the noodles cook, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it into small pieces as it browns, until no pink remains and it reaches 160°F (approximately 6–8 minutes). Season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
Carefully tilt the skillet and use a spoon to drain the grease from the cooked beef, then transfer the seasoned beef to a large pot.
Add both cans of tomato soup, both cans of tomato sauce, the chili seasoning mix, and the chili powder to the pot with the beef. Stir well to combine all ingredients thoroughly.
Add the cooked and drained noodles to the sauce and meat mixture. Stir until evenly coated and heated through, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer. Continue heating until the dish is hot throughout and begins to bubble at the edges (about 5 minutes). Taste and adjust seasonings as desired.
