Ingredients

2 cups whole raw almonds, toasted

1 teaspoon coarse salt

Directions

  1. Add the toasted almonds to a food processor. Pulse until the almonds begin to break down into smaller pieces, about 1-2 minutes.

  2. Continue processing, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed. The almonds will first become a coarse powder, then gradually release their natural oils.

  3. Once the mixture becomes creamy and begins to form a ball, add the coarse salt and pulse to combine evenly.

  4. Process for another minute or two until the desired consistency is reached—smooth and spreadable. Stop and taste, adjusting salt if needed.

  5. Transfer the finished almond butter to an airtight container and store in a cool place.
