Ingredients
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup non-fat plain yogurt
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375 °F.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar, brown sugar, and margarine. Beat together until the mixture is light and fluffy, approximately 2–3 minutes.
Add the yogurt and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and blend until well combined and smooth.
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, and baking soda. Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
Fold the chocolate chips into the dough until evenly distributed throughout.
Drop the dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow room for spreading.
Bake for 8 to 12 minutes, or until the cookies are light golden brown around the edges.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 1 minute, then transfer them to a wire rack or plate to cool completely.
