Ingredients

1 cup fresh kale or spinach

1 cup water, almond milk, or coconut milk

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled

1 medium banana, peeled and sliced

1 cup fresh blueberries

1 cup fresh pineapple, cut into chunks

1 medium orange, peeled and segmented

1 cup ice cubes

Directions

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and clean running water before beginning. Rinse all produce under cool water and pat dry.

  2. Add the kale or spinach and your chosen liquid (water, almond milk, or coconut milk) to a blender and blend until the greens are completely broken down and the mixture is smooth.

  3. Add the strawberries to the blender and blend until fully incorporated. Pause and scrape down the sides if needed.

  4. Add the sliced banana to the blender and blend until combined.

  5. Add the blueberries and blend until fully mixed throughout.

  6. Add the pineapple chunks and blend until the mixture reaches your desired consistency.

  7. Add the orange segments and blend until smooth and well combined.

  8. Add the ice cubes and blend on high speed until the ice is crushed and the smoothie reaches a thick, frosty consistency.

  9. Pour the smoothie evenly into two serving glasses. Serve one portion immediately and refrigerate the remaining serving in a sealed container for later use.
