Ingredients

1 envelope (approximately 2.5 teaspoons) unflavored gelatin

2 cups fresh strawberries, washed and sliced

1 cup grape juice

Directions

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before beginning preparation.

  2. Rinse the fresh strawberries under cool running water and pat dry with paper towels. Slice them into bite-sized pieces and distribute evenly in a 9x9-inch shallow dish or baking pan.

  3. In a small saucepan, combine the unflavored gelatin with the grape juice. Stir well to combine and let sit for 1 minute to allow the gelatin to bloom slightly.

  4. Place the saucepan over low heat and warm gently for approximately 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gelatin is completely dissolved and the mixture is clear. Do not allow it to boil.

  5. Carefully pour the warm grape juice gelatin mixture over the sliced strawberries in the dish, ensuring the berries are evenly covered.

  6. Cover the dish with plastic wrap or place it uncovered in the refrigerator. Chill for approximately 1 hour, or until the gelatin is completely set and firm to the touch.

  7. Serve chilled directly from the dish or cut into portions and transfer to individual serving bowls.
