Ingredients
1 cup Lukewarm water
2¼ teaspoons Instant yeast
11¼ ounces Bread flour
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 tablespoon Dried parsley
1 tablespoon Olive oil
Directions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the lukewarm water and instant yeast. Let sit for 1–2 minutes to allow the yeast to bloom and become active.
Add the bread flour, salt, garlic powder, and dried parsley to the yeast mixture. Mix on low speed with an electric mixer for 1 minute, then increase to medium speed and knead for 8–10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth, elastic, and forms a ball.
Lightly brush the inside of a clean bowl with the olive oil. Transfer the dough to the oiled bowl, turn it to coat lightly with oil, and cover with a damp cloth or plastic wrap. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes until it doubles in size.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
Punch down the risen dough and transfer it to a lightly floured work surface. Divide the dough into 40 equal portions and roll each piece into a thin stick about 6–8 inches long, applying slight pressure as you roll to create a uniform breadstick.
Arrange the breadsticks on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 1 inch apart. You may need to use both sheets or bake in batches.
Bake at 400°F (205°C) for 20–25 minutes until the breadsticks are golden brown and crispy. For extra crunch, rotate the baking sheets halfway through baking.
Remove the breadsticks from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
